How do I get emergency funding?

Unfortunately, because Lane is an "open admissions" school where students may come and go quite easily, it is not possible to confirm a student's attendance in advance of the refund deadline in a term and offer any type of emergency loans.

Financial Aid Students:

If you depend on financial aid, it is important to have your award letter and know that you are in "good", "warning"  or "probation" SAP standing prior to the beginning of the term, so that you can be confident of when your disbursement will occur. You also must check to be sure you haven't been asked for any additional information or had a hold placed on your financial aid.  Sometimes things can change without much warning.  Beginning a term before your award letter is complete, or if you have an appeal on file that has not yet been reviewed, is not recommended.  If you do decide to attend without your awards being certain, be sure you have a backup plan to cover your expenses just in case financial aid takes longer than expected to be paid. 

If you are a new student obtaining financial aid for the first time, and you are depending on Stafford loans, you will have to wait 30 days into the term for your first disbursement, so you will need to make plans for your first term!
