How do I get help logging into myLane/Moodle?

Logging into myLane/Moodle

I can't access the myLane/Moodle Website:

First check to make sure you are connected to the internet!

  • myLane: Make sure you have entered the URL correctly. It should exactly match the image below. The site may be down on occasions for maintenance and improvements.

  • Moodle: Moodle updates and synchronizes its user accounts periodically, so watch for a message to let you know when it will be available.  Also be sure you have entered the URL correctly. It should exactly match the image below.

I don't know/forgot my User ID (L number): If you do not have an L number, learn how to obtain one here. If you have an L number but you forgot it, you have two options:

I don't know/forgot my password: If this is your first time logging into myLane or Moodle, your password is a temporary 12 character password sent to the email address you have given Lane in your admission form.  Once you enter this temporary password, you will be guided to change to your own 12-16 character passphrase, including at least 1 number and at least 1 letter.  After this, your myLane and Moodle passwords are the same. You can change your password in myLane. It will take up to 5 minutes for Moodle to recognize your new password.

If you forgot your password after setting it up the first time, go to myLane's Main Page and click on the link "Forgot PassPhrase? Click here" located just below the Password/PIN box.

Other problems: If you are experiencing problems other than those listed above, contact Student Help Desk (SHeD).
